Grass-Fed Beef Tallow – A Traditional Cooking Fat
Beef tallow is a time-honoured cooking fat that generations relied on before the widespread use of modern refined seed oils. Naturally rich in flavour and incredibly versatile, it's making a well-deserved comeback in today's kitchens.
Our beef tallow is carefully rendered from premium grass-fed beef suet sourced from cattle raised without antibiotics or growth stimulants.
With a high smoke point of approximately 220°C, beef tallow is ideal for:
- Frying
- Roasting
- Sautéing
- Baking
- Grilling
When melted, tallow becomes a clear, golden cooking oil with a rich, savoury flavour. It naturally contains monounsaturated fats, including oleic acid, along with fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E and K. Grass-fed beef fat may also contain conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a naturally occurring fatty acid.
Beyond the kitchen, many people also use beef tallow as a traditional ingredient in homemade skincare products because of its rich, nourishing texture.
Storage: Solid at room temperature. For best quality, store refrigerated where it will keep for up to 6 months.
We use only fresh ingredients and herbs to naturally flavour our tallow, butter and mayonnaise.
